Magic show: by the great magician Phil Keller

Phil Keller Biography

After falling under the spell of magic at the age of 13, Phil Keller proceeded to take magic lessons at the 'Académie de Magie' at the Olympia in Paris. Like all magicians he started with the manipulation of cigarettes, coins and balls, but, he found his true talent performing on stage and started his magic career at the Tigerpalast in Frankfurt.

He spent 18 years traveling all over the world (Japan, Spain, Greece, Portugal, Germany, China, Slovenia, Egypt, Italy), including numerous months on several cruise ships. His grand illusion show has been performed in theatres, hotels, cabarets and casinos; making frequent television appearances and staging special events.

Phil collaborated with Disneyland Paris, as magic consultant, to bring various magic effects to their shows, such as, the flying carpet for Aladdin, magical movements for the Little Mermaid and the flying for Mary Poppins. He also stepped in to provide illusions for the interactive parade, cutting Jasmine in half and making other characters disappear.
For the 5th anniversary of Disneyland Paris, he made appear a statue of Mickey as a special surprise for Roy Disney.

Phil with his experience in magic and Rebecca with her love fordance, the two of them blended their talents together to present another form of magic. Over the years they have extended their show with adding the appearance of a tiger and a panther.
In 2002, they returned to France after spending 5 months at the Casino Royale in St Marteen and several months in Malaysia. From 2002 to 2006, they performed their illusion show on board of the prestigious 'Brilliance of the Seas' from Royal Caribbean Cruise International (USA) where they sailed the Caribbean and the Mediterranean seas.

DISNEY CRUISE LINE requested Phil Keller to embark on the luxurious 'Disney Magic' for their first voyage to Europe. The 'Walt Disney Theater' welcomed Phil's show during the entire summer of 2007.

As of the 6th October 2007, Phil Keller produced the new revue "ILLUSION PASSION" at the Casino Ruhl in Nice, France.
A cast of 10 talented performers accompany Phil in the show, which is a blend of dance, music and magic; a mixture between a variety show and cabaret.
The show was directed by Claude Tissier (Disneyland, Cirque du Soleil, Dragone), choregraphed by Sonja Mazouz, the scenery was designed by Remy Bourgade, costumes from Rios, music arrangements by Remy Bailet and the lighting by David Estegassy.
The show runs every Friday and Saturday evening until June 2009.

February 2008, Phil KELLER programmed the magic effects for the television film "Hold up à l'italienne" starring Claudia Cardinale, Jacques Perrin, Bruno Wolkowitch, and Etienne Chicot. The filming took place at the Carlton Hotel in Cannes, France. This fiction was diffused on TF1 during the autumn of 2009.

On the 13th June 2009 after a successful 2 year run, the final curtain fell on 'Illusion Passion', the show produced by Phil Keller at the Casino Ruhl in Nice, France.
Princess Cruises welcomed Phil aboard the Crown Princess for 2 months with his magnificent AC COBRA and illusion show until the end of August.

Since, Phil has moved back home to France and is currently preparing to perform his show for the Christmas and New Year galas.
